Bachelor of Arts Liberal Studies (dual major)

The Liberal Studies degree program has been designed to meet two major objectives: to provide you with a solid introduction to the subject matter of each area, and to allow you (through judicious use of your electives) the flexibility to combine those studies with your vocational or avocational interests.

Liberal Studies graduates obtain skills to work in a wide variety of fields including, business, government, fine arts, law and technology. AIC's liberal studies program also prepares graduates to work in the education area.

American International College has introduced a new five-year program leading to a bachelor's degree in an arts & science area with education after four years, and a Master of Education degree with licensure after the fifth year. Students must undertake an arts or sciences major appropriate to the license sought and, upon acceptance into the education program, complete the courses, MTELS (Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure) and experiences in teacher training necessary for the fulfillment of the requirements for NASDTEC credentialing and state licensure.

Education programs are offered in early childhood, elementary, moderate disabilities, and nine subjects on the middle/secondary level (Biology, Business, Chemistry, English, French, General Science, History, Mathematics, and Spanish), leading to initial teacher licensure in those areas.
